From March 4 to April 3, New Zealand will host the Women’s World Cup. On March 6, India will face Pakistan in their first match of the tournament.

With her extensive World Cup experience, India’s captain has been passing on her knowledge to those about to make their debut.

“The only piece of advice I would give to young players is to enjoy the big stage because if you pile on the pressure, you may not be playing as well as the team and you would like to in the World Cup,” she added.

“The batting department has come together, the bowling unit has taken a little time, we didn’t have a camp in India because of the rising COVID-19 cases, so this series against New Zealand was important in terms of World Cup preparation,” she added.

In the previous five-match ODI series, India was defeated 1-4 by New Zealand.
