WWC: Sneh Rana collides with a teammate who is attempting to catch. During the 37th over of Bangladesh’s innings, Sneh Rana collided with teammate Pooja Vastrakar while attempting to take a catch.

Sneh Rana’s all-round heroics, along with a fine half-century from Yastika Bhatia, led India to a 110-run victory over Bangladesh in the ongoing Women’s World Cup on Tuesday at Seddon Park in Hamilton. India got off to a good start after being put in to bat, with Smriti Mandhana (30) and Shafali Verma (42) adding 74 runs for the first wicket.

However, India lost three wickets in the space of five deliveries and had to rebuild their innings once more.

Bhatia hit another match-winning knock, and Richa Ghosh, Vastrakar, and Rana all contributed down the order to help India reach 229 for seven.

In response, BANG continue to lose wickets at regular intervals and were eventually bowl out for 119.

India is third in the points table with three wins from six games, trailing Australia and South Africa.

India will face the Proteas in the next round, and a win will guarantee them a place in the semi-finals.
