With a lethal delivery, Shaheen Afridi gives Mitchell Starc a taste of his own medicine. Mitchell Starc is a master of bowling yorkers and cleaning up the tail, but he got a taste of his own medicine on Tuesday thanks to Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Mitchell Starc is a master of bowling yorkers and cleaning up the tail in any format, including Test cricket. The Australian pacer, however, received a taste of his own medicine on Day 5 of the ongoing first Test against Pakistan in Rawalpindi. Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled a lethal yorker to Starc, and he had no answer.

The Pakistani left-arm pacer did to Starc what he has done to so many others: he went wide of the crease to angle the ball in, causing it to reverse a little.

Starc completely missed the ball, which thudded into the pads. The umpire raised his finger immediately, but the Australian decided to review it, more out of hope than anything else.

Pakistan finished Australia’s first innings quickly on Day 5 morning.

Before being packed off, Australia added only 10 more runs to their overnight total. Nauman Ali was Pakistan’s wrecker-in-chief, taking six wickets, including two on Day 5.

Shaheen Afridi took two wickets, while Naseem Shah and Sajid Khan each took one.

With Australia bowled out for 459, the hosts took a 17-run first innings lead, but it will likely be insignificant as the match is headed for a draw.

Pakistan made a strong start in their second innings, with Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafique keeping the Australians at bay.

Pakistan were 66 for no loss at the time of writing, leading by 83 runs.
