BCCI secretary Jay Shah confirmed that Laxman will lead India in the three-match ODI series, but that Rahul Dravid will not take a break. He stated that the time difference between the Asia Cup squad departing for the UAE and the end of the Zimbabwe tour is only one day, and that Dravid would have to be with the T20I squad rather than the ODI squad.
