OVirat Kohli performs 100 tests “Walk of GOAT.”
On Friday, Virat Kohli became the 12th player in Team India’s history to play 100 Tests. The BCCI congratulated Kohli on reaching a milestone 100th Test appearance ahead of the start of the ongoing first Test against Sri Lanka. Because of the bio-bubble restrictions, head coach Rahul Dravid gave him a commemorative cap and a memento. The crowd at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali greeted Kohli as he walk out to bat on Day 1 of the ongoing first Test against Sri Lanka with a huge round of applause.
Moreover, Kohli’s brisk entry into the stadium went viral on social media. After opener Mayank Agarwal was dismiss for 33 by Sri Lankan left-arm spinner Lasith Embuldeniya, the former India captain also charged towards the pitch.

Kohli also joined Sunil Gavaskar, Dilip Vengsarkar, Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman, Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, and Ishant Sharma in the 100 Test club for India.
Earlier, Kohli spoke with the BCCI about his experience in Test cricket thus far.
The former India captain stated that he never expected to play 100 Tests for India.
“I never imagined I’d play 100 Test matches. It’s been a long journey, and I’ve played a lot of cricket over the course of these 100 Test matches. So I’m just grateful that I made it to 100. Knowing the amount of cricket played in today’s day and age, as I previously stated.
