Stephen Fleming said -“India should consider playing overseas leagues to gain more exposure”. The BCCI forbids Indian athletes from competing in overseas leagues.

Indian cricket legend Anil Kumble had said that the BCCI. That should allow young players to compete in foreign competitions in order to gain exposure.
In a same spirit, Stephen Fleming, a four-time IPL champion and former captain of New Zealand. Has supported the concept of Indian players competing in international T20 tournaments.

In addition, Fleming argue that the CPL becomes essential for players to acclimate to the conditions because the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup is slate to be host in the USA and the West Indies.
“You look at the CPL which becomes more important with the next World Cup being there in the Caribbean, and how many players can you get put into that tournament to get an idea of conditions. It is an advantage,”
Fleming added.
