Dhawan captioned the video, “Knock out by my dad for not qualifying for knock outs.”

Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh responded to the video by writing, “Bappu tere se bi upar ka actor nikle.. kya baat hai.”

Harpreet Brar, Dhawan’s PBKS, also commented on the post, saying, “Haha Uncle on fire pajii.”

With seven wins from 14 games, PBKS finished sixth in the IPL points table.

The Mayank Agarwal-led team had started the season strongly, but their inability to string together back-to-back victories saw them miss out on a playoff spot.

Despite his excellent batting return, Dhawan has been overlook by the BCCI for India’s upcoming T20I series against South Africa.

Beginning June 9, India will play five Twenty20 Internationals against South Africa.
