The ICC T20 World Cup selection meeting is expected to take place soon.
Both Bumrah and Harshal were rule out of the Asia Cup squad earlier this month due to injuries, and they began their rehabilitation at NCA.
Notably, with 19 wickets this year, Harshal Patel is India’s second highest wicket-taker in T20Is, trailing only veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who has 31. Bumrah has only appeared in three T20Is this year, taking three wickets.
This year’s ICC T20 World Cup will be held from October 16 to November 13.
India finished third in the Super Four Phase of the Asia Cup 2022, failing to qualify for the final. They qualified for the Super Four after beating Pakistan and Hong Kong in the Group stage, but they lost to Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Super Four phase, despite winning their final game against Afghanistan.
