IPL 2022: Wanindu Hasaranga’s Celebration Is Inspired By PSG Star Footballer Neymar Jr.
Wanindu Hasaranga, the star leg-spinner for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Bowled a four-wicket haul against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Match 6 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. The KKR batters struggled to deal with Hasaranga’s googlies and pace variations and failed to read him off the deck on several occasions. The Sri Lankan bowler made the most of the opportunity, continuing to fill the bowls fuller while mixing it up and cramping the batters for any extra room.
This incredible spell of T20 bowling stunned and awed everyone as he broke the backbone of the KKR middle-order. Hasaranga also began with the crucial wicket of skipper Shreyas Iyer, and was quickly follow by Sunil Narine. Sheldon Jackson, and Tim Southee. What stole the show, however, was Hasaranga’s celebration. Which he later admit was inspire by Paris Saint-Germain star footballer Neymar Jr.

The spinner revealed his celebration inspiration after being named ‘Player of the Match’ in the post-match presentation “Neymar is my favorite footballer, and I emulate his celebration. I don’t put myself under any kind of pressure when I go out to play. That is why I consider myself to have achieved success.”
