Former India cricketer Ravi Shastri has spoken out over the on-field brawl between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli during the LSG-RCB match in Lucknow. Following RCB’s victory, tempers flare as Kohli and Gambhir were seen mouthing a few words that drew a lot of attention for all the wrong reasons.

Members of both teams intervened and separated the two as the furious exchange of words escalated. While the duo has faced backlash from fans and members of the cricketing fraternity alike for their on-field antics, former India cricketer and head coach Ravi Shastri has urged them to bury the hatchet.

“I believe the realization will come in a day or two.” And they will realize that this could have been handled much more effectively. “They both play for the same state and have had enough cricket,” Shastri stated on Star Sports.

“Gautam is a two-time World Cup winner, and Virat is a legend.” They are both from Delhi. I believe the best course of action would be to sit them both down and put an end to it. “Once and for all,” he continued.
