Aakash Chopra is concerned about Rohit Sharma’s poor form in the IPL 2023. Chopra also state that hes surprised to see Mumbai Indians play with only three foreigners against Punjab Kings.
Rohit Sharma’s performance in the ongoing IPL 2023 season is a major source of anxiety, especially with the World Test Championship final and the 2023 ODI World Cup just around the corner. So far in the 16th edition of the cash-rich league, the MI captain has only 184 runs in nine matches at a strike rate of 129.57.
Notably, in MI’s last game against PBKS, the 36-year-old failed to open his tally and tied the tournament record for most ducks by a batter – tied with Dinesh Karthik, Mandeep Singh, and Sunil Narine, all of whom have 15 ducks.
Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra remarked that Rohit Sharma is now getting out on short pitch deliveries, which was not previously the case.
“Rohit Sharma escaped. I’m still debating if he’s selling himself too short. I believe he is. Why is this shot unworthy of him? “Hes trying to jump out and hit in the first over and got out. ” Chopra said on JioCinema’s AakashVani show.

Chopra taken aback by MI playing three foreigners
Chopra also claimed that he was astonished to see the Mumbai Indians play with only three foreigners this season, despite the fact that their bowling unit has not performed well. The 45-year-old expressed astonishment that MI used Suryakumar Yadav as their impact player.
