Ashes: Kevin Pietersen urges Joe Root and the rest of the England team to “play without fear” against Australia.
Ahead of the Boxing Day Test, Pietersen expressed his mantra of beating Australia. In their own backyard and urged Joe Root and his team to be more “aggressive.”
The series is on the line for England in the third Test of the Ashes series in Melbourne. As the hosts had won the first two matches. While Joe Root’s team has the talent to mount a comeback in the series, the manner and magnitude of the losses in Brisbane and Adelaide have harmed the entire group’s morale.
When England has got the upper hand, the hitters have been found wanting, and the bowlers have been unable to capitalize. Add in some dreadful catching, and the Three Lions have effectively surrendered another another series in Australia.
Kevin Pietersen, the former England captain and batting standout. Is one man who knows a thing or two about beating the Aussies. Pietersen established a career out of dominating opposition bowlers. Thanks to his cavalier batting approach, which allowed him to beat the greatest bowlers even in difficult batting circumstances.
Ashes: Play without Fear
Pietersen has expressed his mantra of beating the Aussies in their own backyard ahead of the Boxing Day Test, and has urged Joe Root and his players to be more “aggressive.”
“To beat Australia, I believe you must be bold, play without fear, and never back down in any situation. We were instructed to go out and bash the bowlers in 2005. I’ve overheard ENG players discussing how they don’t leave the ball good enough!” On Twitter, Pietersen expressed his thoughts.
England lost the first Test by 9 wickets and the second by 275 runs, but they had chances in both games that they failed to take advantage of.
During their last two Test tours of Australia, India has demonstrated that the Australians can be dominated in their own home. But, in order to do so, Root’s team must come out firing on all cylinders, as Pietersen has requested.
