Aakash Chopra discusses Arjun Tendulkar’s 31-run victory over the Punjab Kings. On Saturday, April 22, the 31st game of the IPL 2023 saw a furious clash between the five-time champion Mumbai Indians and the Sam Curran-led Punjab Kings at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. Punjab scored 214 runs in their first innings after winning the toss and electing to bat.
Punjab were 118/4 after 15 overs of the first innings. But things swiftly changed when Arjun Tendulkar entered the game to bowl the 16th over. The 23-year-old let up 31 runs off the over, which allowed the Sam Curran-led side reach the massive total.
Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra weighed in on Arjun’s spell, claiming that the costly over changed the tide in Punjab’s favor. In a video posted to his YouTube page, he stated, “
“There were no more than 85 runs scored in the first ten overs.” After that, it was debatable whether they could even reach 160 points, but they did. Arjun Tendulkar bowled a 31-run over, and the momentum completely altered after that.”

Arjun Tendulkar beginning to settle in the MI lineup
Arjun Tendulkar made his IPL debut against the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 22nd game of the competition, and all eyes were on him. Because he is the son of one of the greatest batters of all time, Sachin Tendulkar, supporters expected similar results from the 23-year-old.
Arjun has collected two wickets for the Mumbai Indians in his three appearances so far. Despite a setback in the previous game against Punjab Kings, where he bowled the second most expensive over by a Mumbai bowler, the pacer is eager to return in the next games.
