Sourav Ganguly believes Rahul Dravid will do an outstanding job as India’s coach. Ganguly, President of the BCCI, has stated that Rahul Dravid will do an outstanding job as Team India coach.
Sourav Ganguly, president of the BCCI. Believes his former teammate Rahul Dravid has all the qualities to be successful in his current role as coach of the Indian cricket team. Ganguly believes Dravid’s “intense. Meticulous, and professional” attitude is exactly what a coach needs to succeed in the high-pressure India job.
“He (Dravid) is as intense, meticulous, and professional as he was during his playing days,” the former India captain said Saturday on the sidelines of a promotional event here.
“The only difference is that he no longer has to bat at No. 3 for India, which I believe was more difficult because he had to face the best bowlers in the world. Which he also did exceptionally well for a long time,” he added.

As BCCI president, Ganguly was instrumental in bringing Dravid on board as India’s coach, succeeding Ravi Shastri after the T20 World Cup last year.
“He will make mistakes, as everyone does, but if you try to do the right things, you will succeed more than others,” Ganguly said.
The BCCI’s top official, on the other hand, refused to compare Dravid to his predecessor, Shastri.
“They are distinct individuals with distinct personalities. One is always looking at you, which is his strength, whereas the other, despite being one of the greatest of all time, will quietly do his job “According to Ganguly.
“No two people will achieve success in the same manner.”
