Importantly, the defending champions hosted KKR in the second doubleheader on Sunday, April 9, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

KKR needed 29 runs off the last over against Khan’s Titans, and Rinku Singh came up against Yash Dayal, a rookie and under-pressure bowler. Despite the odds being stacked against KKR, Rinku made history by hitting five straight sixes to win the game for his team. After his incredible innings, Rinku sent a message to Yash, who worked hard to protect the score in the last over.

“I emailed Yash after the game, saying it happens in cricket, you performed pretty well last year,” Rinku was cited as saying by India today.

Keep the belief, Stay till the end: Nitish Rana

It’s worth noting that Rinku scored eight runs off 14 balls in the game’s last over. The Uttar Pradesh-born hitter claimed that skipper Nitish Rana had stuck with him till the finish, which paid off handsomely in the gripping match. Impressively, he clobbered 40 runs (6,4,6,6,6,6,6) in the following seven deliveries to assist his team win their second straight game. KKR therefore gave GT its first loss of the season.

The 25-year-amazing old’s innings have captivated the cricketing world, and Rinku will try to maintain his impressive run in the competition.
