Glenn Maxwell, Australia’s star all-rounder, is now sidelined with a wrist injury receive while playing Victoria in a Sheffield Shield match against South Australia. Maxwell station in the slip cordon when he injured his wrist and went off the field.
Glenn Maxwell had a devastating leg injury during a birthday party after the 2022 T20 World Cup. After a great run in the Victorian Premier League, the all-rounder recently returned to cricket. He did not contribute much in the first innings, as he caught in front of the wicket for five runs.
But, things went wrong when the Australian star was fielding in the slips and injure his wrist while trying a catch. The ball had taken the batter’s outside edge and rebounded directly in front of Maxwell, striking the Australian flush on the wrist. The all-rounder walked off the pitch, groaning in agony and clutching his wounded wrist.

According to reports, the Aussie star brought to a nearby hospital for scans following his injuries. A Cricket Victoria spokeswoman stated that scans indicated no fracture, giving the high-profile batsman a tremendous breath of relief. But, considering his previous injury issues, the 34-year-continued old’s involvement in the encounter remains in doubt.
The Victorian will be aiming to recover swiftly from his latest setback, with his sights set on a return to the national squad. While the Australian side is presently engaged in a four-match Test series against India, they will play the same opponents in a three-match ODI series next month. Maxwell hopes to make his long-awaited return to international cricket in the white-ball series against India.
