csk vs kkr cricket bettingChennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders,Indian Premier League 2020,Today Match Prediction 29 Oct 2020

Chennai Super Kings would be up against the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 49th game of the IPL. Chennai comes into this game after massive win against the Royal Challengers Bangalore against the run of play, but the side is already out of the contention for a spot in the next round. For the KKR it was yet another loss against the Kings XI Punjab and their entry into the next round would depend on the result of the next game which they can’t afford to lose.

For CSK it has been a disastrous season where they have failed to show their consistency. Their batting line-up has struggled right through the tournament and this is big concern for them going into this contest. As far as KKR is concerned they will take heart from their last win against Chennai and shall like to use that as an inspiration in what is a do-or-die contest for the side.

It was a big win for MS Dhoni’s side in the last game against the Royal Challengers Bangalore where the side won by 8 wickets. However, this has come a bit late in the season as the side has lost all its hopes of making it to the next round. All they would have to play for is pride in what has been the worst season for the franchise in this tournament. With Kolkata too struggling at the moment Dhoni would definitely count his chances.

The opening pair of Rituraj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis did well in the last game and the side would need a similar start from them especially the former South African skipper who has been their best batsmen this season.  Ambati Rayudu, Sam Curran and Dhoni shall need to play good knocks which they have failed to do on a consistent basis. In Ravindra Jadeja and N Jagadeesan the side has good firepower down the order.

It was a good show with the ball from Deepak Chahar and Sam Curran in the last game and the side would look for a similar show from them in this game as well. Imran Tahir also made the RCB batsmen struggle and so did Mitchell Santner. Jadeja brings in vast experience to this bowling unit. While they have looked good on paper the side would need a team effort from its bowling unit in this game.

Best Batsman – Faf du Plessis

  Best Bowler – Imran Tahir

Chennai Super Kings Predicted Playing XI:
MS Dhoni (c & wk), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Faf du Plessis, Ambati Rayudu, N Jagadeesan, Sam Curran, Ravindra Jadeja, Mitchell Santner, Deepak Chahar, Imran Tahir, Monu Kumar

Chennai Super Kings Actual Playing XI:
Karn Sharma, Mitchell Santner, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ambati Rayudu, Narayan Jagadeesan, Deepak Chahar, Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Curran, MS Dhoni, SR Watson, Lungi Ngidi

Eoin Morgan’s team is failing to maintain momentum in this season of the tournament and the side just manages to let itself down losing games after registering victories. Their bowling attack was decimated in the last game against the Kings XI Punjab which they lost by 8 wickets. They are currently placed fifth on the points table and shall aim for a higher spot with a win here.

KKR has been inconsistent at the top and haven’t been able to figure out the right opening combination. Shubman Gill had played well but he will need good support from his fellow opener Rahul Tripathi. Nitish Rana and Dinesh Karthik have to assume responsibility as they are letting the team down on most occasions. Morgan, Sunil Narine and Pat Cummins will need to play quick-fire knocks down the order for the side to win this game.

Their bowling attack which did well early in the season has struggled in the last few games and the side will need a good show from Pat Cummins and Lockie Ferguson who have done well this season. Varun Chakravarthy and Prasidh Krishna will need to use the experience they have gained against Chennai’s struggling batting line-up. Narine has bowled tight spells this season and the side will need another good effort from him in this game.

  Top Batsman – Shubman Gill

  Top Bowler – Lockie Ferguson

Kolkata Knight Riders Predicted Playing XI:
Eoin Morgan (c), Shubman Gill, Nitish Rana, Rahul Tripathi, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Sunil Narine, Pat Cummins, Lockie Ferguson, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Prasidh Krishna, Varun Chakravarthy

Kolkata Knight Riders Actual Playing XI:
Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Shubman Gill, Varun Chakravarthy, Lockie Ferguson, Pat Cummins, Rinku Singh, Nitish Rana, Eoin Morgan, Sunil Narine, Dinesh Karthik, RA Tripathi

Dubai would see clear skies and a warm evening on October 29 although the temperatures have dropped a bit in the last few games. The surface is an absolute delight for the batsmen and we have seen lot of runs being scored here in the last few games. A score of 180 runs is a must for the side batting first to feel safe on this track.

The Dubai International Cricket Stadium is large in size and hitting the ball over the boundary ropes isn’t easy. But the pitch is a good one to bat on and the fast outfield offers ample boundary scoring opportunities to the batsmen. Fast bowlers need to use variations to grab wickets as there is no assistance from the track. But spinners have done well here in the recent games as the slowness of the surface aids them.

The pitch doesn’t change much of its character in the second innings as we have seen in the last few games. The slower wicket can create doubts in the minds of the side batting first and this makes it difficult to set a total here. Hence we believe the side winning the toss would opt to bowl first here.

Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders are all set to face off each other in the IPL final. Both teams have already won IPL titles with CSK doing it three times and KKR twice. KKR pulled off one of the grandest of comebacks from no.7 position in points table in the UAE leg of the tournament. They are in a 4-match winning streak currently including the eliminator and Qualifier 2. CSK were very consistent for their first 11 league matches and suddenly experienced a fall with 3 losses on a trot in the league stages. But, they came back strongly in the Qualifier 1 to chase down a par total with their captain finishing off in style.

CSK batters Ruturaj Gaikwad (70 runs) and Robin Uthappa (63 runs) made a brilliant 110-run partnership which kept them in the massive chase after early wicket of Faf Du Plessis. They suffered a small collapse from 113/1 to 119/4 in middle overs but their Skipper MS Dhoni made a crucial 6-ball 18 runs to finish the match. Ravi Jadeja, Ambati rayudu, and Dwayne Bravo are too in good touch playing crucial cameos in this season.

CSK bowling unit was led by Josh Hazlewood in the last match as he picked up 2 wickets in the match. Spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali bowled well in tandem in the middle overs for combined figures of 7-0-50-1. Shardul Thakur, Dwayne Bravo, and Deepak Chahar were little bit expensive but are seasoned campaigners who can step up at the big stage.

  Top players to bet on:

Ruturaj Gaikwad – Gaikwad is having a phenomenal season scoring 603 runs at a strike rate of 138 with 4 fifties and a century to his name. He will look to end the season with yet another big score to help his team win the final.

Josh Hazlewood – Hazlewood has been CSK`s main wicket taker in the power play with the hard lengths. He will be expected to make early inroads into KKR`s worrisome middle order in this match.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, Faf du Plessis, Moeen Ali, Robin Uthappa, Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, Josh Hazlewood

Chennai Super Kings Actual Playing XI:

KKR openers Shubman Gill (45 runs) and Venkatesh Iyer (55 runs) gave a brilliant start with 96-run opening partnership in the 136-run chase. But their middle order stumbled with all players from No. 5 to No.7 being dismissed for ducks. Rahul Tripathi scored 12 runs off 11 balls with a six of the penultimate delivery to help their team cross the line.

All the five KKR bowlers used last night came to the party and no bowler gave away runs at over 7 RPO. Chakravarthy dismissed both the Delhi openers while pacers Shivam Mavi and Lockie Ferguson chipped in with crucial middle order wickets. Sunil Narine continued his good showing with the ball with figures of 4-0-27-0.

  Top players to bet on:

Varun Chakravarthy – Chakravarty has 18 wickets at an economy rate of 6.4 RPO this season so far. He alongside Sunil Narine has formed a brilliant partnership to trouble the opposition batters in middle overs.

Venkatesh Iyer – Venkatesh Iyer has taken up the role of aggressor at the top and he has been phenomenal with 3 half-centuries in 9 matches this season so far. He will be tough batsmen to stop once he gets going.

Kolkata Knight Riders Predicted Playing XI:
Shubman Gill, Venkatesh Iyer, Nitish Rana, Rahul Tripathi, Eoin Morgan (c), Dinesh Karthik (wk), Shakib Al Hasan, Sunil Narine, Lockie Ferguson, Shivam Mavi, Varun Chakaravarthy

Dubai will have a temperatures in the range of early 30s during the evening time when the match takes place. We expect no rain or external weather factors to make an impact in this match.

Dubai pitch has a fair bit of balance between the bat and ball with something in the surface for both of them. Bowlers will need to bowl the hard lengths on this sluggish track and execute their plans to perfection on this pitch. We expect the average scores to be around 160-170 runs in this match.

Chasing is a no-brainer in this match and both CSK and KKR has never lost a match chasing in this UAE leg so far. Last 8 matches in Dubai are won by the teams bowling first.

Indian Premier League 2021 has resumed on the perfect note, and we have seen intense action from the field in the few games that have been played. In this context, the 38th game between the Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders would be an interesting one. Both sides have won two games each since restarting their campaign. KKR come here with a big win against the Mumbai Indians while the Super Kings outsmarted the Royal Challengers Bangalore in their previous game.

The Chennai Super Kings have enjoyed a good record against Kolkata Knight Riders in recent years and have won four times in the last five games including the game earlier this season. However, KKR has looked altogether different team here in UAE and this would make it an interesting battle here and we expect the game to go down the wire.

MS Dhoni’s side has regained its top spot on the points table with their 6-wicket win against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The side made a strong comeback in the last game after a poor start. Dhoni would want his players to take confidence from their good record against the KKR. He would be aware of KKR’s batting prowess and expect a good show from his bowlers.

Rituraj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis played well in the last game and the side would expect a positive start from them here. The middle-order also did well with Moeen Ali, Ambati Rayudu, and Suresh Raina scoring runs and the same would be expected from them in this game as well. The side has great depth in the batting with Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, and Shardul Thakur to follow.

Deepak Chahar and Josh Hazelwood were expensive with the new ball in the last game and the side would like to see a better show from them in this game. Thakur and Ravindra Jadeja shall have to bowl tight spells in the middle overs as KKR have good hitters of the ball in the side. With Bravo bringing his experience, the side will start confidently in this game.

  Top Bowler – Deepak Chahar

Chennai Super Kings Actual Playing XI:

Eoin Morgan’s side has resumed its campaign on a promising note. They have registered two massive wins and the last one against the defending champions Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets would have surely added to the side’s confidence.  Their batting is looking strong, and Morgan would like to use it and beat the Super Kings against whom they had lost the earlier game.

Shubman Gill and Venkatesh Iyer have played well in the two games and the side would like to see a strong show from them here. The middle order is packed with quality players and Morgan would aim to build partnerships with Nitish Rana and Rahul Tripathi. In Dinesh Karthik, Andre Russell, and Sunil Narine they have good finishers adding to their confidence.

The side would like to see good spells from Lockie Ferguson and Prasidh Krishna in this game. In Narine and Andre Russell, they have experienced bowlers and they have to bowl smartly for the side to win this game.

Abu Dhabi would see a hot and humid afternoon on September 24, and this is expected to make the bowling conditions tough for the bowlers. Batsmen would enjoy batting on this track, and we expect this game to be a high-scoring one with good hitters on both sides. The team that bats first would need 180 runs on the board to feel comfortable.

Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi is a big-sized ground, but the fast outfield has allowed batsmen to score runs easily here in the past. It is a tough venue for the csk vs kkr cricket bettingChennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders,IPL 2021,Today Match Prediction 26 September 2021 fast bowlers with nothing on the surface for them. Spinners have enjoyed a good record as the ball can turn sharply and stop on the batsmen.

The two games that have been played on this surface have gone in favor of the side that has chased the score. There is little on the surface for the bowlers and chasing scores has been easy here. Hence, the side winning the toss would like to bowl first in this game.
