The mega auction for the upcoming season of the IPL is scheduled for February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru. A total of 590 players are expected to be auctioned off ahead of the 15th edition of the IPL.
The addition of two new teams, Lucknow Super Giants and Ahmedabad, has heightened fan excitement. While the existing eight franchises announced their list of retained players last year, the two new franchises also announced their three draft picks each ahead of the auction.
The franchises are all set to compete for the services of some of the biggest names in world cricket in order to achieve the right balance in the squad.
