India vs. South Africa, 3rd T20I: Will Umran Malik Make His Long-Awaited Debut?
On Tuesday, India and South Africa will play the third Twenty20 International in Vishakhapatnam.
India has everything to play for in the 3rd T20I of the five-match series against South Africa, as they trail 0-2 and need to win in Vishakhapatnam to keep their series hopes alive. The bowlers have performed poorly in the first two T20Is, failing to defend totals of 211 and 148. Only Bhuvneshwar Kumar returned with four wickets in the second game, and he was the only bright spot. It will be interesting to see if the management considers giving Umran Malik a chance in the third T20I.

Here is our prediction for India’s ideal predicted XI for the 3rd T20I:
Ruturaj Gaikwad:
The right-handed batter has scored 24 runs in two T20Is, and the pressure is mounting for him to make a case for selection to the T20 World Cup squad. He was hoping for a strong showing.
Ishan Kishan:
The left-hander has scored 110 runs in two Twenty20 Internationals. He has given the hosts a strong start at the top, and he will look to capitalize on his form.
Shreyas Iyer:
The batter has gotten himself in, but has yet to capitalize on his opportunities. He’d like to score big to keep India in the game.
Rishabh Pant:
The captain underperformed in the second T20I, scoring only five points off seven balls. He has every shot in the book, but he would have to take on more responsibility and steer the side to a good total.
Hardik Pandya:
After scoring 31 off 12 balls in the first T20I, the all-rounder struggled in the second, scoring only nine runs. He conceded 31 runs in three overs with the ball, and the management would expect the IPL-winning captain to fire with both bat and ball.
Dinesh Karthik:
He may have come after Axar Patel, but it was his 30-run knock that helped India surpass the 140-run mark. He would like to see the performances continue.
Axar Patel:
So far, the left-handed batter has had a disappointing two matches, failing to make an impression with both bat and ball. It will be interesting to see if management sticks with him.
Harshal Patel:
The death-over specialist was economical in the second T20I, conceding only 17 runs and dismissing Heinrich Klassen. The management, on the other hand, would like to see the bowlers strike more consistently.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar:
His experience was instrumental in keeping India in the second T20I, as he returned with three wickets inside the powerplay. However, no other bowler backed him up from the other end, and Bhuvneshwar expects that to change in the third T20I.
Yuzvendra Chahal:
The leg-spinner has not been able to control the run-flow and has leaked runs with the South African middle-order taking him for plenty. Chahal would hope for more wickets in the middle period.
Umran Malik:
The Jammu-born fast bowler took 22 wickets for SunRisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2022. Because Avesh Khan has struggled to take wickets on a consistent basis, the management may consider giving Umran a chance in the must-win T20I.
