He was rested for the subsequent ODIs and T20Is against the West Indies, and he is not in the squad for the ODIs against Zimbabwe.

The All-India Senior Selection Committee announced the squad for the upcoming Asia Cup earlier on Monday, with Rohit Sharma as captain and KL Rahul as vice-captain.

Due to injuries, India’s star pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel were unavailable for selection. They are currently receiving treatment at the NCA in Bengaluru.

Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravi Bishnoi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan.
