The ICC ODI Women’s Team Rankings chart welcomes Thailand and the Netherlands. With a 4-0 victory at home against the Netherlands, Thailand dominated the four match ODI series.

Thailand and the Netherlands both joined the Women’s ICC ODI Team rankings following the conclusion of the four match series. Thailand is presently rated ninth in the ICC ODI Team rankings with 72 points. After winning four games at home and having a great overall campaign. The Netherlands, who first entered the rankings with 0 points, are currently ranked 12th.

Thailand received a huge lift with a 4-0 series victory at home as they quickly rose to the top of the ICC rankings. With the victory, they also eclipsed Pakistan and Sri Lanka as the top Asian teams in the rankings. Thailand has recently had significant success, and further success is anticipated.

They defeated Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, and Malaysia in the group round of the recent Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2022 event, advancing them to the semifinal round. Despite their dismal 74 run loss to India in the semi-final match, they were lauded widely by the cricket community.

Thailand Women won all four games in the ODI series.

Thailand won the initial match by 100 runs using the D/L technique in their first-ever ODI game. In the opening ODI, Natthakan Chantham scored her first hundred in an ODI, and Onnicha Kamchommphu claimed three wickets. Eva Lynch took four wickets for a total of 33 runs as the Netherlands’ bowlers knocked Thailand out for just 176 runs. The pursuit, however, saw them fall just eight runs short as Thailand’s Suleeporn Laomi claimed three wickets to give her team a close victory.

With a commanding 99-run victory in the third ODI, Thailand maintained their superiority. For a total of 227 runs while batting first, Chantham scored 55 runs, while skipper Naruemol Chahiwai added 65 runs. Laomi bowled another game-winning performance, taking four wickets and only allowing 26 runs to be scored, dismissing the Dutch team for just 128 runs and helping Thailand win the series.

In the most recent ODI, Thailand’s Nanthita Boonsukham took four wickets as Netherlands crumbled for just 145 runs. With another fifty, Chantham maintained her blistering form and helped her team to a commanding seven wicket victory.

The Netherlands lost all four games by significant margins, adding to their August setback against Ireland in three ODIs. The Netherlands have moved up to position 12 in the ODI rankings out of a possible 13, although they have not yet earned a point. The four-match T20I series beginning on November 29 will now be the focus for both Thailand and the Netherlands.
