Suzie Bates, a New Zealand all-rounder, believes that a Women’s IPL should begin.

According to Bates: The Women’s IPL will provide cricketers with the opportunity to play in front of Indian fans.

T20 cricket has grown in popularity in recent years, and one event. The Indian Premier League, deserves credit for the format’s growth. Several members of the cricketing community are now calling for a Women’s IPL to be held.

In an Amazon Prime Video interview, the Women’s IPL will raise the profile of women’s cricket. She also stated that the event would benefit all cricketers’ overall development.

“I believe that every international female cricketer will be a fan of the Women’s IPL.” They started with exhibition matches before COVID-19, and it was an absolute delight to be a part of those. “I’d love to see a Women’s IPL start because it will provide female cricketers the chance to play in front of Indian fans,” Bates remarked.

“I believe it will benefit the Indian women’s team’s depth. Which they have begun to develop, and it’s great to see franchise cricket being launched as a player.” “The Women’s IPL is an important tournament, that is now absent from the women’s game.” She continued.

Suzie Bates explains how a home World Cup adds to the strain.

The future Women’s World Cup will begin on March 4, 2022. With New Zealand taking on West Indies at the Bay Oval in the opening match. The competition will be held in New Zealand. According to Bates, hosting a World Cup at home is both exciting and stressful.

“Absolutely,” says Bates. There’s no denying that playing in a World Cup at home adds extra pressure because the entire country is rooting for you to succeed. We’ve discussed it as a group, and I believe we’re excited about the prospect. We’ve never participated in a World Cup in our own country. “We’re looking forward to it and aren’t concerned about the pressure that comes with it,” Bates added.

New Zealand will play India in a five-match One-Day International series before the women’s World Cup begins. A T20I match will also be played between the two sides.

“We couldn’t have asked for a finer set-up. We’ve recently played England and Australia, two of the top teams in the world, but it’ll be nice to play India. They’ve competed in the last two World Cup finals and are looking forward to doing so in our own backyard. In my perspective, having five One-Day Internationals before a World Cup is ideal. Bates continued, “We know we’ll be tested in every aspect of the game.”
