Sean Abbott Dismisses Chris Lynn In Big Bash With “Catch Of The Summer”

Big Bash League, Sydney Sixers vs. Brisbane Heat. Sean Abbott bowled Chris Lynn for a duck in what has been dubbed the “Catch Of The Summer.”

Sydney Sixers’ Sean Abbott took the world of cricket by storm. As he grabbed a stunner to dismiss a visibly shocked Brisbane Heat batter Chris Lynn in the Big Bash League. 

Abbott delivered a screamer. Diving full length to his right at extra cover to complete the catch and leave the entire crowd. Including the players, in awe. This catch has been dubbed the “summer catch.”

Lynn charged pacer Ben Dwarshuis and delivered a delivery to extra cover. While the crowd and cameraman focused on the fence in search of the ball. An ecstatic Abbott ran towards his teammates, ball in hand and a huge smile on his face.

The match at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) turned out to be a low-scoring affair.

The Sixers’ disciplined bowling effort limited the Brisbane Heat to 105 runs in 19.1 overs.

Aside from being a live wire on the field. Abbott returned to haunt the batting side with a four-wicket haul in four overs and only 31 runs conceded.
