Ravindra Jadeja has been named the new captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), succeeding the legendary MS Dhoni, who stepped down after leading the franchise successfully for 12 seasons. Starting this year, the star India all-rounder will be expected to carry on the legacy by leading the franchise from the front.
Just two days before the start of the IPL 2022, it appears that Jadeja is not only calm and composed like his predecessor, but is also eager to demonstrate his leadership abilities this year. Meanwhile, the southpaw has made it clear that Dhoni is and will always be his go-to guy.

Ravindra Jadeja: I have to step into the big shoes left by MS Dhoni
The defending champions posted a video on their official Twitter account of the Gujarat cricketer sharing his first thoughts on taking over from Dhoni while on his way to a practice session. “I’m feeling good. At the same time, I have to fill those big shoes. “Mahi Bhai has already left a significant legacy for me to carry on,” said Jadeja.
“I don’t have to be concerned because he’s here.” So. I will definitely approach him if I have any questions. He’ll be my go-to guy. He was and continues to be. So, no, I’m not too concerned. It remains to be seen whether MS Dhoni’s swansong will be the IPL 2022 after he relinquishes captaincy. The veteran stumper will turn 41 in July, and it will be interesting to see how long he will be able to push himself as a player from then on.
A new appearance This season, Chennai Super Kings will be vying for their fifth IPL title. On March 26, they will kick off their IPL 2022 campaign against KKR at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
