Parthiv Patel Issues Severe Warning to Team India Ahead of Pakistani Rivalry

Parthiv Patel Issues Severe Warning to Team India Ahead of Pakistani Rivalry. Pakistan defeated India in the 2021 T20 World Cup. Parthiv believes the victory must have boosted the morale of the Babar Azam-led side.

India and Pakistan will open their T20 World Cup campaigns against each other on October 23 at Australia’s Melbourne Cricket Ground. There will be a lot on the line as the two teams meet for the 14th time in a World Cup game. Former India cricketer Parthiv Patel has warned Rohit Sharma’s team about Pakistan’s strategy ahead of the highly anticipated clash. Pakistan defeated India in the 2021 T20 World Cup, and Parthiv believes the victory must have boosted the morale of the Babar Azam-led side.

It is worth noting that India and Pakistan had met 12 times in World Cup games prior to 2021. The latter losing all of them. However, a 10-wicket victory last year helped Pakistan improve to a 1-12 head-to-head record.

India and Pakistan met twice in the recently concluded Asia Cup

“Pakistan would now approach the situation differently. They did not expect to beat India by ten wickets in the previous T20 World Cup. But they’ve already beaten India in the Asia Cup, and they’ve already beaten India in the World Cup game (in 2021). As a result, they would be thinking differently. They’d think, ‘We can beat this side,’ because they hadn’t beaten India in a World Cup game in a long, long time. So getting into the World Cup will be a different kind of challenge for India “Parthiv said on Cricbuzz.

India did not advance to the final of the T20 Asia Cup in 2022, while Pakistan lost to Sri Lanka in the summit clash.
