On Thursday, Pakistan announced its 15-man squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup, and, contrary to expectations, decided to retain the majority of the players from the squad that recently lost to Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup final. The announcement drew criticism from both fans and former cricketers. Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir also tweeted after the squad was announced, but he has since been chastised by Twitter users for his choice of words.
Amir tweeted, “chief slector ki cheap selection.” This did not sit well with the fans who chastised him for his remarks. Amir had previously retired from international cricket, accusing team management of being unjust to him. While he has previously received sympathy from fans, this tweet has not gone down well with Pakistan cricket fans.

We’ve won three ICC titles, he was instrumental in two of them. Keeps hurting his own legacy. https://t.co/VVjFR5IO5J
