is cricket betting haramPermissible types of bettingFatwa No: 266491

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

It is permissible to bet money only in the activities that are allowed with evidence from Sharee‘ah, such as horse racing, camel racing and archery. The scholars of the Standing Committee were asked about the ruling on betting that is known as a “personal commitment” and what the ruling is on one-sided betting; the person says, “If such and such takes place, I commit myself to invite you (to a meal), for instance.”

They answered, “It is not permissible to bet money except on the activities excluded by the Sharee‘ah in this regard, which are horse or camel racing and archery. It is impermissible to make other types of bets because it consists in the unlawful consumption of people’s wealth and it is a kind of gambling, which is deemed prohibited by Allaah and His Messenger. As for making a personal commitment, saying, ‘If such and such takes place, I commit myself to give you such and such,’ then this is considered a promise. It is permissible for the person to fulfil such a promise or commitment if he can.”

It should be noted that practicing sorcery – even if it does not involve betting – is prohibited; it is one of the seven deadly sins. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: “Avoid the seven deadly sins.” It was asked (by those present): “What are they, O Messenger of Allaah?” He replied, “Associating anyone or anything with Allaah, practicing sorcery …..” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Moreover, the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: “He who practices magic or has magic practiced for him is not one of us.” [At-Tabaraani – Al-Albaani graded it as Saheeh (sound)]

In addition, practicing magic may incur harm on the person by the Will of Allaah; Allaah, The Exalted, says (what means): {But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say, “We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing magic].” And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allaah.}[Quran 2:102]

Shaykh Haafith Ahmad Hakami may Allaah have mercy upon him said in his poem “Sullam Al-Wusool” (what means), “Sorcery has its effect on people by the predestination of Allaah.”

He may Allaah have mercy upon him commented on “the effect of sorcery” saying, “This means that magic or sorcery could cause the person to fall ill and may kill him as well. Some other types of magic may affect and deceive the minds or the eyes. Some other types of sorcery may drive couples to separate.”

Hence, what the head of this organization did is impermissible. Even if he did not get himself killed and the sorcerer embraced Islam, it should be noted that the end does not justify the means.

  Allaah Knows best.

Sir u are wrong. This is a very conservative thought bcz jumping, running and all these are the main sports activities that grooms and makes a women physically fit that’s why women in Islam are allowed to play all these such sports like running jumping, bat ball, basketball, cricket, foot ball, swimming bcz all these are the need of a woman that’s why we can not stop women from these sports

And I have the proof for you from an Islamic example as well

Once hazrat used to run with the prophet and she even win that race and thus prophet also used to encourage women to participate in sports andwhen his own wife used to play running than how can other women not do running

Bcz Allah has asked a man to lower his gaze as well and to guard his modesty as well

And that’s why specially there is one more thing that all the sports are played separately in Pakistan u can see women plays but separate they don’t mix with man and man don’t mix with women

Thus that’s why due to all these reasons

Women in Islam can play all good sports which includes running jumping hopping and all this bcz all sports include all this running that’s why women in Islam can play all good sports that includes running jumps and hops and there is no problem in it

That’s why see islam deeply than u will get to know about your self…

Thirty-three ISIS wives have been slaughtered by a terror group rival in a revenge execution.

Boko Haram, an Islamist militant group, killed the partners of Islamist State fighters as fighting escalated between the rivals.

It began earlier this week when Boko Haram leader Ali Ngulde sent his troops to a camp to execute their wives.

The group's commander Malam Aboubakar and more than a 12 others were killed by ISWAP fighters after negotiations failed Zagazola Makama, a security analyst said.

SWAP fighters were once part the Islamist militant group but divided and became rivals by encouraging other Boko Haram members to defect and increasing support in civilian populations.

The jihadist insurgency was launched by Boko Haram in 2009 and its centre is in north eastern Nigeria.

Boko Haram wants to topple the Nigerian government and replace it with an Islamic regime adhering to Sharia law.

An estimated figure says more than 40,000 people have died and around two million are displaced in the conflict, which has also affected neighbours Chad, Niger and Cameroon.

Known for its brutality, the group has have committed a string of terror attacks and massacres with attacks and kidnaps of civilians especially young women and girls.

An investigation, meanwhile, has revealed the Nigerian army has run a secret illegal abortion programme.

This has resulted in the termination of at least 10,000 pregnancies among women and girls Islamist militants kidnapped and raped.

Boko Haram and ISWAP's rivalry has added violent complications to the war between Islamic militants and Nigerian authorities.

ISWAP is a splinter group of Boko Haram, near Lake Chad, which has created deeper connections with civilian populations to cultivate its power and influence.

Seeing ISWAP's rise to prominence, some militants defected to join the splinter group, adding to its strength and turning it into a legitimate threat with the resources and support to challenge Boko Haram and Nigeria's military.

The twin groups are now competing for influence in northeastern and northwestern Nigeria, but share similar goals of introducing an Islamic regime in Nigeria.

ISWAP forged good relationships with civilian populations around Lake Chad and north eastern Nigeria.

Local populations are given more mercy where business and trade can be developed and local services improved.

Boko Haram, however, continues to live up to its reputation.

And last month, jihadists killed at least 26 women after a commander accused them of being witches he claimed were responsible for the sudden death of his children.

It began on November 10 under the orders of Boko Haram commander Ali Guyile, according to those who escaped.

The Mirror reported in June how the brutal head of Boko Haram had died after blowing himself up during a chase, it has been reported.

The Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) militant group said in an audio recording Abubakar Shekau was dead.

The leader of rival Nigerian militant Islamist group Boko Haram was said to have been killed around May 18.

He detonated an explosive device after being chased by ISWAP fighters in a battle, someone purporting to be the group's leader Abu Musab al-Barnawi said on the audio recording.

"Abubakar Shekau, God has judged him by sending him to heaven," he could be heard saying.
