IPL 2022: Umesh Yadav makes a one-of-a-kind debut against CSK. Yadav became only the fourth bowler in IPL history to take a wicket in the first over of an IPL season.

Umesh Yadav, a veteran pacer, starred for the KKR in the first game of the Indian Premier League’s 2022 season (IPL). The right-arm fast bowler took two wickets in four overs while conceding only 20 runs.

Yadav also made a one-of-a-kind contribution in the 2022 IPL opener against CSK. The KKR pacer took the wicket of Ruturaj Gaikwad in the first over of the match. Becoming only the fourth bowler in league history to take a wicket in the first over of an IPL season. Brett Lee, Iqbal Abdullah, and Chaminda Vaas are the other three.

Yadav bowled a delivery that swung away from Gaikwad, who opted for a loose cut shot. As Gaikwad walked back for a duck. The ball took the edge of his bat and Nitish Rana, who was stationed in the slip cordon, completed the catch.

Umesh Yadav was named Player of the Match for his outstanding performance with the ball for the KKR team.
