India Predicted XI vs. England First ODI: Will Virat Kohli Play?

India Predicted XI vs. England First ODI: Will Virat Kohli Play? The 1st ODI between ENG and IND will take place at The Oval on Tuesday.

The Indian cricket team begins its ODI campaign on Monday at the Kennington Oval in London, after winning the T20I series against England 2-1. Several players, including Shikhar Dhawan, are expected to play significant roles in the 50-over format. The availability of former India captain Virat Kohli, on the other hand, is the major talking point heading into the match. Kohli is expected to miss the first ODI due to a groin strain, according to news agency PTI. The extent of Kohli’s ailment is unknown, but the Indian team management would prefer to rest the 33-year-old veteran so he can play in the next two games at Lord’s (July 14) and Manchester (July 17).

The following is the predicted India XI for the first ODI against England:

Rohit Sharma (captain)

In the T20I series, he looked in good form but was unable to convert his starts into big scores. The ODIs will be an opportunity for him to reclaim his form.

Shikhar Dhawan

The selectors are currently considering the veteran batter only for one-day internationals. He’d be desperate to make an impression.

Shreyas Iyer

In Kohli’s likely absence, he may get an opportunity. The right-hander is struggling with his form and would like to improve.

Suryakumar Yadav

He was one of the best batters in the third T20I against England, scoring a brilliant century.

Rishabh Pant (wk)

There is no better sight on the cricket field than Pant’s swashbuckling approach if he can perform.

Ravindra Jadeja

Another excellent allrounder, he will be expected to improve his batting form. He can also be economical with the ball.

Hardik Pandya

The fast-bowling allrounder will help the team maintain balance.

Jasprit Bumrah

He was rested for the third T20I and will be expected to lead the bowling attack once more.

 Yuzvendra Chahal

The leg-spinner is currently on a roll and will be expected to take wickets for his team.

Mohammed Shami

In English conditions, the veteran pacer can be quite useful.

Arshdeep Singh

Having a left-arm pacer in the XI will always add variety and depth, and Arshdeep demonstrated his versatility during his T20I debut for India.
