IND vs WI 2nd T20I: Rishabh Pant’s “Helicopter Shot” Against West Indies. Rishabh Pant hammered Jason Holder for a massive six over deep square leg on the first ball of India’s 19th over.

Rishabh Pant laid the groundwork for India’s series-clinching victory over the West Indies in the second T20I at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Friday. Pant, who struggled in the first T20I, scored an unbeaten 52 off 28 balls.

The wicketkeeper-batter hit seven boundaries and a six, which drew the attention of the cricketing world. Pant hammered Jason Holder for a massive six over deep square leg on the first ball of India’s 19th over.

The commentator compared his shot to former India captain MS Dhoni’s helicopter shot.

Pant’s fifty, Virat Kohli’s fifty, and Venkatesh Iyer’s 33-run cameo helped India to a total of 186 for 5.

Roston Chase took three wickets for the West Indies, while Sheldon Cottrell and Romario Shephard each took one.

West Indies were 59 for two at one point while chasing a target of 187, with Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravi Bishnoi each taking a wicket for the hosts.

However, Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell pushed them all the way to the finish line. Powell was unbeaten on 68 off 36 balls, while Pooran was out on 62.

In the end, the West Indies fell short by 8 runs and were forced to forfeit the series.
The visitors will now look to reclaim some pride in Sunday’s third and final T20I.

Previously, the Windies were swept 0-3 in the ODI series.
