ICC Test Rankings: Australia Take Number Top Spot, While India Drop To Third

Following a 1-2 series loss to South Africa. India has dropped to third place in the ICC Test rankings, while New Zealand has retained second place.

After winning the Ashes 4-0, Australia has risen to the top of the Test rankings. Meanwhile, following a 1-2 series loss to South Africa, India has dropped to third place, while New Zealand has maintained its second place.

ICC Test Rankings:

New Zealand had a 1-1 series tie against Bangladesh.

Australia leads with 119 points, three points ahead of third-placed India, who is led by Pat Cummins.

South Africa has risen to fifth in the ICC Rankings following their series victory over India. England is in fourth place with 101 points.

India had won the Centurion Test in the three-match series, but had two consecutive defeats to a relatively inexperienced Proteas, as the series ended 1-2 in favour of the hosts last week.

Pakistan has dropped one spot to sixth place, while Sri Lanka, The West Indies, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, and Ireland have all maintained their positions.
