England captain Ben Stokes is’very thrilled’ about the forthcoming Pakistan visit. The series will consist of three Tests between the two teams.

Team England has arrived in Pakistan and is ready to face the hosts in a three-match Test series beginning in December. Ben Stokes, who leads the English contingent, spoke about the forthcoming series against the Babar Azam-led team.

The Three Lions spent a week in Abu Dhabi before heading to Pakistan for a red-ball training. Stokes feels his squad is optimistic and is looking forward to the longest format encounter against Asian heavyweights.

“We’ve got everything available to us” : Ben Stokes

“I’m very excited. The summer went really well for us in conditions that I know, and we all know as a team, so it’s exciting to come away somewhere completely different in sub-continent conditions where whatever team tours finds it very difficult. It’s going to be completely different to the summer,”

Stokes said.

“We’ve got everything available to us. The nets out back have different types of surfaces because we’re not quite sure what we’ll get in Pakistan in terms of wickets. We’ve been lucky to have some wickets that do a bit and some wickets that are a bit drier to help the lads prepare for the challenges that the spinners will present, so it’s been really good,”

He added.

The red ball group captained by Stokes, who arrived in Pakistan on November 27, made their first appearance on Pakistani territory for a Test series in 17 years on Sunday. The Three Lions last played the Men in Green in a bilateral series in 2005, and the two sides have not played in Pakistan since then due to security concerns.
