He came to the Men in Blue’s rescue once more with a handy 25 in the second One Day International against Zimbabwe on Saturday, August 20 at the Harare Sports Club. The victory gave India an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

Meanwhile, Hooda set a new record with his crucial match-winning knock against Zimbabwe. It is a world record, not just another unique record. It should be noted that India has won every match he has played since his international debut. As of now, the Men in Blue have register 16 consecutive wins across formats whenever the Rohtak cricketer has been in the playing XI.

Deepak Hooda: The New Lucky Charm of India

With 16 consecutive victories in all of Deepak Hooda’s matches. India now has the longest unbeaten streak for a player after his debut at the highest level. With Hooda on the team, India has won seven One Day Internationals and nine Twenty20 Internationals.

The middle-order batter has been a member of India’s squad since 2017. But he will not make his international debut until February 2022.
