CSK Coach On Ambati Rayudu Incident: “Storm in a Teacup. ” Ambati Rayudu announced on Twitter that IPL 2022 would be his final season, but he quickly deleted the tweet.
Ambati Rayudu of the Chennai Super Kings caused quite a stir on Saturday when he first tweeted that the current Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season would be his final in the tournament. However, the tweet was deleted an hour later, and CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan clarified that Rayudu would not be retiring and would remain with the franchise. A day later, CSK coach Stephen Fleming addressed the issue during a press conference following the CSK-Gujarat Titans match, which the former lost by seven wickets.
Rayudu did not make the CSK starting lineup against the Gujarat Titans on Sunday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
“It was not disappointing; in fact, it was probably a bit of a storm in a teacup. But I believe he was fine. Nothing has changed in the camp, but it is a non-story “During a virtual post-match press conference, Fleming responded to an NDTV question.
Rayudu announced his retirement on Saturday at 12:46pm, but the tweet was removed almost an hour later. It raised questions among fans about whether the current edition was truly Rayudu’s “last IPL,” as he claimed in a now-deleted tweet.
However, the CSK CEO clarified the situation, telling NDTV: “He was a little disappointed with his performance. So he sent out that tweet by mistake. I’ve explained everything to him. He is not going away. He’ll be there for us.”
