BPL: Shakib Al Hasan mimics Allu Arjun’s move from “Pushpa,” but with a twist.

Shakib Al Hasan tricked Faf du Plessis of Comilla in the air. As the latter gave a straightforward catch to long in the sixth over. Shakib then celebrated the important wicket with a move from Allu Arjun’s film ‘Pushpa.’

Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh joined the likes of David Warner, Dwayne Bravo, and Suresh Raina. As scenes and moves from Tollywood actor Allu Arjun’s film ‘Pushpa: The Rising’ remained a popular choice among cricketers around the world. While most cricketers have done the ‘Pushpa walk.’ A dance routine from the movie’s song ‘Srivalli.’ Shakib chose to do a different take on another iconic sequence from the Allu Arjun-starrer.

During a Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match, Shakib imitated Allu Arjun’s signature move of running his palm across his chin.

After dismissing former South Africa captain Faf du Plessis in the Comilla Victorians vs Fortune Barishal match. Shakib, a former Bangladesh captain and one of the best all-rounders in the world, performed the move.

In the sixth over, the Fortune Barishal skipper tricked Comilla’s du Plessis in the air, as the latter gave a routine catch to long on. Shakib then celebrated the important wicket with a gesture from Allu Arjun’s film ‘Pushpa.’

Dwayne Bravo and Nazmul Islam, Shakib’s teammates, also performed moves from the film. To celebrate a wicket, the West Indies all-rounder had done the ‘pushpa walk.’

The match, on the other hand, did not go according to Barishal’s plans. They were defeated by 63 runs. Despite Bravo’s three-wicket haul and Shakib’s excellent bowling, Comilla put up a fighting score of 158 for 7 in their first innings.

The hero of the show was opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy, who scored 48 off 35 balls. Karim Janat’s cameo at the finish, which included three sixes, provided the Comilla innings a much-needed boost.

With the exception of Najmul Hossain (36 off 47 balls), none of Barishal’s batters were able to get their eyes in and attack the total from the start. For 96 runs, they were bowled out.
