On Tuesday, Najibullah Zadran stole the show as Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets to advance to the Asia Cup 2022 Super 4 stage. Afghanistan were 62 for 3 at one point in the game, chasing a 128-run target. When Najibullah arrived at the crease and join hands with Ibrahim Zadran. What follow was an unbeaten 69-run partnership off only 33 balls between the two, which helped Afghanistan easily win the game. Najibullah hit a stunning 43-ball not out, while Ibrahim scored an unbeaten 42-ball.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan each took three wickets as Afghanistan limited Bangladesh to 127 for 7. Mujeeb Ur Rahman set the tone for Afghanistan by striking three times before Rashid Khan capitalized to further trouble Bangladesh.
Bangladesh would not have even reached a fighting total if it hadn’t been for Mosaddek Hossain’s 48 not out off 31 balls.

Afghanistan has now won both of their group stage matches and is the first team to qualify for the Super 4 stage.
