Afghanistan Cricket Board and Emirates Cricket Board ink a five year deal. Each year, Afghanistan will also play the UAE National Team in a set of three T20I games.

A five year mutual cooperation agreement has been reached between the Emirates Cricket Board and the Afghanistan Cricket Board. The Afghanistan Cricket Board will hold its home matches. And make use of the top-notch grounds in the UAE as part of the historic arrangement. Each year, the UAE National Team will play Afghanistan Cricket Board in a set of three T20I games. In exchange, the Afghanistan Board will get significant logistical support from the Emirates Cricket Board. Including help with visas and office space.

The CEO of the Afghanistan Cricket Board, Naseeb Khan, commended both nations for their collaboration and stated his belief that this agreement will be successful and would advance both parties’ long-term objectives.

 “Both the Emirates and Afghanistan Cricket Boards enjoy long, cordial relations, and we are happy to support the ACB in ensuring that they have a home for their cricket. We are also thankful to Afghanistan Cricket Board for agreeing to play T20 internationals against UAE Team each year. This will provide our UAE team with the invaluable exposure and help in their development.”
