Aakash Chopra predicts RCB chances ahead of the IPL 2023 season

Aakash Chopra predicts RCB chances ahead of the IPL 2023 season. The Royal Challengers Bangalore will begin their 2023 IPL season on April 2 against the Mumbai Indians at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

Former India opener Aakash Chopra believes that the RCB would not finish in the top three on the IPL points table 2023 when the league stage concludes in the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL).

This year, the three-time finalists will compete for their first IPL crown. They will open their IPL campaign on April 2 against the five-time winners Mumbai Indians (MI) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

Chopra stated on JioCinema’s ‘AakashVani’ show that RCB may wind up battling for the final playoff place in the future season. The 45-year-old stated that playing at home will cause them additional problems. He also believes that the RCB bowlers would be crucial to their success in the event.

“This team should qualify, but Bangalore’s issues will arise when they begin playing at home. ” When they play in neutral environments, they are a gun side. It will be an entirely new task. They might be on the verge of something. Might have a chance of finishing between four and six. ” They might not make the top three. ” Chopra remark.

“The bowlers’ column determines where you go since hitting nearly cancels each other out, especially at home. ” Wanindu Hasaranga is his given name. Following that, Josh Hazlewood’s availability is a major unknown.”

Josh Hazlewood likely to miss few matches of IPL 2023

The cricketer-turned-commentator then discussed the injured Australian bowler Josh Hazlewood, claiming that the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s foreign fast bowling contingent looked little weak in his absence. Chopra also stated that David Willey is not a suitable alternative for the Australian seamer.

Hazlewood suffered an Achilles injury during Australia’s home Test series against South Africa and was therefore ruled out of the recent Test and ODI series against India. The Australian is expected to miss a few games this season.

“Reece Topley, David Willey, Mohammed Siraj, Siddarth Kaul, and Harshal Patel will appear. They also have Karn Sharma and Akash Deep. There are several names, many of which are excellent. The bowling had looked terrific, but without Josh Hazlewood, the team is substantially weaker since David Willey cannot do the job.”
